I have begun investing my spouses HSA account in one of my typical, ultra aggressive investment methods. The HSA group let us open a Schwab account where I could invest using leveraged ETFs, options, cryptocurrency ETFs, volatility ETFs, etc. Though this strategy is very aggressive we don’t mind taking the risk and this is what has happened so far.
Performance Reported by Schwab
The screenshot below shows the performance and contributions as reported by Schwab covering the period since I opened the Schwab account.

Simulated Performance By Collective2
I didn’t start my corresponding C2 strategy on the exact same day and though I do enter nearly identical trades there are inevitably variations due to entry, rounding, timing, etc.

What is My Method
I’m never going to give away my entire methodology, but I’ll give you the basic idea.
- Investing has infinite growth possibility.
- Taking on more risk opens you up to higher potential gains and losses.
- Tactical trading (technical or fundamental) may help manage drawdowns, but tactical trading isn’t great for predicting future returns.
- It is best to just take what the market gives you as long as volatility, sentiment, fundamentals, and trends aren’t too chaotic resulting in more leverage drag and losses.
That’s really it. Now this same mentality is what I have used for strategies like Patience is a Virtue, the only real difference this my HSA strategy is that it takes the most recent iteration of Patience is a Virtue which builds on the lessons of the last 4.5 years and it also attempts to trade less and at different indicator levels than Patience is a Virtue in order to keep diversity of signals and methods.
So far this strategy has done well as it has participated in a health run in short vol and crypto this year.
